Sustainability

A 2007 U.S. study found that PET bottles generated lower levels of greenhouse gas emissions, required less energy and resulted in less post-consumer solid waste than a bioplastic known as polyactide or PLA. The recycling of PET improves its positive eco-profile even further In fact, PET plastic is the most recycled plastic in the U.S and worldwide. The FDA and other world-wide health organizations recognize PET’s safety. It does not contain bisphenol-A (BPA) or phthalatePolyethylene terephthalate, also called PET, is the name of a type of clear, strong, lightweight and 100% recyclable plastic. Unlike other types of plastic, PET is not single use. PET is 100% recyclable, versatile and is made to be remade.

Tamper-Evident Seals with Child-Resistant Caps

Child-resistant caps and their corresponding bottles are crucial for long-term storage and child safety measures but tamper-evident solutions can also be helpful. Tamper-evident seals can prevent immediate access to new medications a child remove the child-resistant cap. Tamper-evident seals require dexterity most children under the age of five don't have. Using these tamper-evident seals beneath child-resistant caps, provides an additional layer of protection should a child get the cap off a new package.

Child-resistant caps help reduce the event of accidental contact or ingestion. The FDA also suggests proper storage to further protect yourself from accidents.

Our PET bottles have been extensively tested for safety.

Our bottles are made from PET plastic which is shatterproof, making it simpler and safer to handle. PET plastic creates a more effective oxygen barrier than glass and is easier to reseal. Products packaged in PET are likely to last longer than those in glass.

Our probiotics do not need refrigeration and are stored within barriers designed with moisture and oxygen-controlled bottle technology to protect probiotic strains. Polyethylene terephthalate, more commonly known as PET or PETE plastic or polyester. Thirty years of testing has proven this plastic to be safe for contact with pharmaceuticals. Because it is resistant to micro-organisms and will not react to foods or biodegrade, and is 100% recyclable.
