Who We Are

When I was in junior high school, the term “foodie” became synonymous with the insatiable appetite for the rising culture of Instagram food posts. With this influx of media, food industries pumped the manufacturing to match the caliber of the growing consumption. Consequently, Americans became unknowingly “obsese” and new epidemics started to surge. When I started traveling outside of the US, I didn’t realize my entire life consisted of consuming highly toxic and inflammatory foods.

Traveling to Hong Kong and Europe made me realize that the American Diet was a true phrase used amongst foreigners to describe us Americans. I took a closer look at ingredients and learned about all of the toxic additives that caused my personal health issues: chronic fatigue, recurring yeast infections, severe bloating, white head acne, painful stomach aches along with diarrhea, and food coma.

Food should be medicine. I then replaced everything and during this time, I became obsessed with iHerb which is like the Amazon of supplements. I came across probiotics and realized that as a Korean American I have been consuming natural probiotics through Kimchi my entire life.

Fascinated by probiotics, I became obsessed with the research and benefits that it contained when consumed in maximum strength potency. Everywhere I would go, I would be like Oprah giving probiotics while asking and telling anyone about the benefits of probiotics. People would ask me which one to buy and I would tell them a certain one to purchase but I realized that there weren't many brands that contained the efficacious amount of strains with the 100 billion+ of CFU count. I soon realized that probiotics were derived as my passion.

I founded Ohbiotics because I believe the American diet will not change overnight, however your choice to choose probiotics to combat the toxic world we live in can. In the process of developing my company, I realized 2 things:

1. Nutraceutical companies lie about the promised ingredients that are labeled.
2. I need to change the foundation of how products are made and execute a product with maximum benefit.

I firmly believe that Ohbiotics probiotics can maximize to help change our personal health, one pill at a time. Throw the champagne away, pop a probiotic instead and let's all become billionaires together.
